Founded in 1993, the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) establishes and promotes the standard of care and measure of excellence that defines professional practice in challenge course and aerial adventure programs. ACCT develops, refines, and publishes international standards for installing, maintaining, and managing challenge courses.  It provides forums for education and professional development, and advocates for the challenge course and adventure industry worldwide.

An Accredited Professional Vendor Member (PVM) of the ACCT is a company which successfully completes the Professional Vendor Member process. This is a lengthy peer review process to ensure to the extent possible that the vendor complies with ACCT Standards.  It is this process and validation that differentiates an Accredited ACCT PVM from other service providers.  PVMs can be accredited for Installation and Inspection, Training, or Certification.
